I am pleased to welcome you to the celebration of the National Day of the State of Qatar, which this year is special due to the pandemic which caused the cancellation of the celebrations of the National Day that the Embassy organized annually.

I take this opportunity to congratulate the venerable people of Qatar and their wise leadership represented by His Highness the Emir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani (may God protect him) and His Highness the Father Emir Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani (may God protect him) and His Highness the Deputy Emir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamdal Thani.

I would like to take this great, historic opportunity to express my best wishes to the Poles on the occasion of a merry Christmas.

I also take this great opportunity to express my heartfelt thanks and appreciation to all those who put their efforts into strengthening the friendship between Qatar and Polish nations, as Qatar-Polish relations developed rapidly under the auspices and guidance of the leaders of both countries, the latest of which was to conduct political consultation between the State of Qatar and the Republic of Poland on December 14, 2020. Deepening the partnership and comprehensive cooperation in various fields, which will open a new era for the rapid development of relations. In the coming period, we will be working on signing numbers of agreements and organizing official visits by officials to both countries, which would allow to develop our relations and increase investment and trade.
