The service aims to provide a legal approval of the commercial documents to be used in the State of Qatar, documents such as: certificate of origin, packing list, invoice, commercial contracts
Terms and requirements:
The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Warsaw legalizes the stamp and signature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland / Latvia / Lithuania.
General rules for legalization:
- The document sent for legalization must include a group of stamps and signatures ending with a stamp and signature of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland / Latvia / Lithuania.
- Original documents must be submitted for legalization.
- If you wish to legalize a copy of a document, the original document must also be legalized. The cost of legalization of a copy is the same as the cost of legalization of the original document.
- A sworn translation is required for documents issued in Polish / Latvian / Lithuanian language. The Embassy legalizes sworn translations of documents only when their originals are also submitted for legalization. The cost of legalization of the sworn translation is the same as the cost of legalization of the original document.
- Xero-copies of the documents as well as hand-written documents will not be accepted.
- Documents certified and legalized in a bundle will not be accepted, they should be legalized individually.
- Documents should be submitted to the Embassy and the payment should be done in the same month, between 1st and 25th of a month.
- Until further notice, documents should be sent only by post or any courier company.
- The Embassy will initiate legalization procedures upon receipt of appropriate cash payment confirmation into Embassy’s account.
- The Embassy does not cover the costs of shipping of the documents.
- The Embassy of the State of Qatar in Warsaw is not responsible for the contents of the document. However, it will refuse to ratify any document the content of which proves to be contrary to the regulations of the State of Qatar.
- If the information on a legalized document or any of its signatures or stamps turns out to be incorrect, the legalization will be considered void and null, in which case the department of consular affairs will reserve the right to file claims to the concerned authorities in Qatar.
Detailed rules for legalization of commercial documents:
- It is necessary to legalize the full set of commercial documents, i.e. certificate of origin and invoice. In the case of exporting food products, the legalization of the health (sanitary) certificate is additionally required. And in the case of meat export - halal certificate is required.
- Advance and settlement invoices will not be accepted; a commercial invoice for the full value of the goods shipped is required.
Legalization fee:
Legalization fee is sent by e-mail after receipt of the original documents legalized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
